C.S. Lewis once declared, “A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.” As I ponder this and think of the powerful prose I’ve read over the years, I realize a surprisingly large percentage of my favorite quotable quotes originate from children’s books. This begs the question, how can I pass on this legacy of books to my son?
You know if you try to be a perfect mom in every respect you’ll fall miserably short. Trust me, I’ve tried. (Unless you happen to be my mom, in which case congrats! You’re pretty near perfect! Love, your favorite daughter.) These days, I try to pick just a few core areas of focus to spend my energy on. One of my focus areas with Little J is that I want to plant the seeds for a love of reading as he grows up. We read together every day, and I’ve even picked up a few new favorite books along the way! I made these free printable children’s book quotes as the perfect art for your mini bookworm’s room.
Encourage your little book-lover even more with these FREE PRINTABLE art quotes. Each print features one of my favorite quotes from children’s books. I designed these for printing and framing in 8 x 10 frames. Choose one of your favorites, or display them all in a set!
Click, print, and frame! It’s that easy 🙂 Just a little way I say thanks for reading and learning at Jules & Co!

Surprisingly wise. I learned today that I think like C. Lewis about good children’s stories. It make me understand why I read a lot of children and teen picks. Thanks for your gift and expand your list of quotes as your kid grows. P.S. I am a School Librarian, mother of three adults, two of them passionate readers.
Thank you Linda! C.S. Lewis is one of my favorites simply because of the layers of meaning in his writing. His books are perfect for kids and adults, too!
so cute! I love the train one!
How do you print these?
