Reading aloud is one of my favorite ways to spend time with my kids. I love the warm snuggles. I love watching their eyes search the pictures and words on each page. I love the shared experience of reading together.

There are so many benefits to reading aloud to your children. Increased attention span, empathy, and cognitive gains top the list. But my favorite reason to read to my kids? The snuggles.

Reading aloud gives an instant return-on-investment when we can reset and relax with a book together. When the day is going crazy, we can drop everything and share that experience of reading.

Yes, reading aloud is important all year long, but I love that read-aloud time gets extra cozy in the Fall! Imagine curling up with these pumpkin books for preschoolers and toddlers this Autumn. Which one will be your family’s favorite?
